Discover the potential that 3D printing offers in the manufacture of parts and prototypes. 3D technologies are becoming widely accessible, steering us into a new age of mass customization founded on two key evolutions: on one hand, the accessibility of scanning and modelling tools, and on the other, open design, centred around exchange and sharing sites that nowadays enable any individual to conceive, create, and produce more easily.
Take matters one step further and witness a live woodworking demonstration using a Kuka 6-axis robot arm fitted with a machining head assembled by young tool fitters undergoing training with the Compagnons du Devoir.
Through these in-show events, discover new aspects of the woodworking trades, along with the Compagnons du Devoir programmes which offer both sandwich courses and adult training. A collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach, whose emphasis is on partnerships with other trades and suppliers, is at the core of proceedings because in tomorrow’s world, trades will no longer be walled gardens.
You will also find all the services on offer from the “PIBOIS” innovation centre for second stage timber conversion, as well as the Compagnonnage bookshop, with all the technical books published by the Compagnons du Devoir on display as well as plenty of literature on timber and wood and its related trades.
