The CTB mark is today’s benchmark certification for the whole of the timber sphere in France, from 1st stage conversion and procurement through to wood treatment, by way of construction. It advantages products, services, and certified professionals.
Today, 375 companies are entitled to use the mark via one of 18 specific certification programmes covering the upstream and downstream sector areas. Almost 600 product ranges, services, and skills are concerned.
Certification offers professionals and consumers relevant, consequent enlightenment when it comes to confidently choosing the products, services, or skills that they need. For certified companies, it’s a unique lever for progress, distinction, and promotion,

A benchmark label holds its own!
In the jungle of timber quality marks, certificates, and labels, CTB sets out to hold its position while organizing a new thrust for the sector. The system has embraced two new certificates, the “CTB Timber Builder” certificate of competence, developed with AFCOBOIS, and “CTB Timber Cladding Wood”, developed with Le Commerce du Bois.
Alongside this, more new sectors will gradually expand the CTB certification sphere, starting with “Timber Preservation Durability” and “Timber Construction”.
Lastly, the CTB mark has given itself a facelift with a new logo. Each sector and its relevant certification is identified by a colour and a unique signature,
